In late April 2025, the NourishMKE Vliet Food Center is moving to Cherry street, just a block north of the Historic Marcia P. Coggs building. In the new Marcia P. Coggs Health and Human Services building, we’ll have a first-floor space with a door and windows facing 13th Street, offering ample natural light onto our guests’ waiting area. Our new space, designed specifically for a food center, offers increased visibility for both guests in need of resources, as well as volunteers coming in for the first time.
Beyond our shopping space, we’ll also have new offices for our staff to invite stakeholders into our space, and connect in-person with our community. We are thrilled to be offering our services in a dignified space that reflects the community we serve, transforming the notion of what it means to share food with our neighbors.
We understand many guests, volunteers, and community members have questions about our upcoming move. For your convenience, we have compiled some frequently asked questions below. Don’t see your question below? Please email connect@nourishmke.org to ask our team directly, or speak with one of our site managers during an open shift.
